8.45-9.00am

Format for 5,6 7 years of age:

Group warm up.

When possible, judoka (judo player) will be   placed into groups of 4.

Before each contest there will be 30 seconds   of throw for throw in a relax manner. This allows each judoka to throw and be   thrown, we hope this will put the judoka at ease as this may be their first   event outside of their club environment.

Contest time is 1.30 minute the 1st ippon   will win but will not stop the contest. This is to allow maximum mat time for   the judoka.

Unless the referee or coach of the judoka   decides otherwise.

Girls AA 8,9, 10 Years

10.45-11.00am

Boys AA 8,9,10 Years

12.45-1.00pm

Format for 8,9,10 years of age.

Group warm up.

When possible, judoka will be placed into   groups of 4.

Contest time 2 minutes, 1st Ippon   wins and ends contest. No Golden Score

Boys & Girls 11 &12 Years

2.30-2.45pm

Format for 11& 12 years of age.

Open mat for club coaches to warm up.

When possible, judoka will be placed into   groups of 4.

Contest time is 3 minutes, 1st Ippon wins   and ends contest. 1 Minute Golden Score

Judoka must weigh in with judo trousers and a T-shirt on for both boys and girls. Changing rooms can be found by following the sports centre signage.

Please bring your JudoScotland licence (blue record book) make sure that you have the white judo licence stuck inside, make sure that your judo licence is in date. If your licence has expired, please contact JudoScotland to renew on 0131 333 298.

A Player with an expired licence will not be able to take part in the event.

Timetable: There is no timetable as this is a bespoke event. Some categories may be called to the mats and others will have a time out until these are near completion. Don’t worry if your child’s name has not been called in the first announcements.

Medal ceremonies: will take place on the mat after each group has finished.

Café: There is a club café onsite, selling cold rolls, home baking and teas & coffee. Pam has food safety and hygiene level 2 plus public liability insurance.

Car Parking: There is a large car park at the front and rear of the building at no cost.

Spectator fee: Adults £3.00 cash or card  – Children Free

Seating: please make sure that only bottoms on seats, do not take up a chair for your bags.

Mat side coaching: Only club coaches will be allowed official side to encourage their judoka. But of course, we would like parents to support their children.

Development: Please remember that this event is a development event, not just for the judoka, but also for the trainee referees and table officials

Pre ordered T-Shirts: Collection of T-shirts will be at the spectator entry desk.

Checking in process:

· Arrive just before your allocated weigh in time for your age.

· Change into your judo trousers and T-shirt.

· Show your JudoScotland licence (blue book) at check in.

· They will give you your weigh in card.

· Proceed to weigh (follow the signs)

Once all players have been checked and weigh in, they will be entered into the matrix system of age and weight, group sheets will be generated.

If you have an issue on the day of the event, please see your club coach who will be more than welcome to come and speak to one of our competition controllers who will be happy to assist them.
